Executive Coaching

Refocus on what matters most

As an executive coach I support & challenge you to:

  • Get clear on what the real challenge is

  • Know what matters most

  • Expand your options

  • Take action

I combine gold-standard coaching methods with evidence-based strategies from positive psychology, neuroscience, and leadership development and draw on my 15+ years experience leading diverse teams.

"Daniel is a fantastic coach. He pointed out my blind spots, helped clarify my thinking, options and actions, held me accountable, challenged me ... he knew I could do & be more in my new role, but that I was holding back. Through challenging me repeatedly, he helped me not settle for less."

Stefan, Operations Executive in Consumer Goods

What my clients value most

What do you want to refocus?

Leadership

Grow your leadership toolkit & mindset

Resilience

Crush your goals, not yourself

Career

Do work that matters

"The coaching gave me a lot of self-knowledge and confidence. I got a much clearer sense of what motivates me, the values that guide me and what I want to achieve… Daniel radiates calmness and competence. He’s 100% committed. ... you’re always able to create the solutions that are right for you."

Emmeline, Board Member in Political Organization

"No matter the topic that you’re dealing with… Daniel listens and asks the right questions at the right time – that gives you a structure, orientation to deal with complex situations and decisions. ... I highly recommend Daniel as a coach!"

Emmeline, NGO leader

Top athletes have coaches, as do the most successful leaders in their fields. You don't need coaching. You want coaching.Coaching is an accelerator, sometimes an anchor to go deeper. It fits your busy life, and is focused.

Grow your leadership toolkit & mindset

Finding your footing in a new leadership role can feel overwhelming.Without the right support, self-doubt and decision paralysis grows, and resonates throughout the team. Well-intentioned advice falls short because it's generic. The complexity of your leadership situation requires more bespoke support. As a sparring partner, I support & challenge you in finding and refining your leadership style, lead with assurance, decide with clarity and inspire your team. What I love about this part of my job? Most of what will make you a great leader is already within you. Our work is to tickle the leadership qualities out of you, and adapt them to your situation. For that, I leverage my exeprience of 15+ years of leadership and coaching senior and junior leaders alike, and I draw on Adaptive Leadership, organizational psychology, and the best-in-class 360 Leadership Circle Profile assessment.

Crush your goals, not yourself

Resilience is not a Spa or a day-off.What you are really after is 'anti-fragility': a state where you grow stronger from challenges. It's where you begin to see stress differently. You are able to self-correct to get back out of frustrating anxiety (and boredom) - and into 'flow' zone.Based on science of positive psychology, we will work on identifying what's a drain and what's a boost to your resilience, and you will develop a toolkit of resilience tactics that work for you - tactics that involve your cognitive ('brain'), emotional ('heart'), and somatic ('body') intelligence. My own 'resilience journey' - not because it serves as guidance, but I hope it shows familiarity with the challenge:

  • 15 years in high-purpose & (often) low-resilience non-profit volunteering

  • 8 years in high-pressure (often high anxiety) world of management consulting

  • 5 years of helping leaders build resilience of their teams

  • 5 years of practicing the Wim Hof Method, now teaching as certified instructor

"What man needs is not some tension-less state but rather the striving and struggling for some goal worthy of him."
- Viktor Frankl

"We have to realize that a vocation is not something we find, it’s something we grow - and grow into."
- Roman Krznaric

Do work that matters

You have a demanding job; it's easy to be driven by dopamine: the nice feeling of accomplishing tasks and projects, getting a promotion or a new job.But when you pause, you may get a sense that something is lacking: work that has a deeper meaning to you, that is aligned with your values and contributes to more than your income. You leave it at that diffuse sense, Monday turns around and you are not any clearer on what kind of work you'd love that is also feasible - and how to get there. Frustrating, I know, I've been there. It's a sad thought but reality for many: continuing down this path can lead to a lifetime of unfulfilled potential and regret.I find joy in supporting & challenging you to go for 'more than a job' - to build a vocation. You don't build a vocation over night. But you can get closer through:

  • Insight into your personal values, personal sources of purpose, knowing what idiosyncratic (perhaps dormant) activities give you a sense of flow

  • Smart experimentation which feeds your insight - and repeat.

"We have to realize that a vocation is not something we find, it’s something we grow - and grow into."
- Roman Krznaric

"I learnt a lot through the coaching: about myself, my goals, and how I respond to tough situations. I learnt new methods, perspectives and guiding questions. I now also see some of my ‘weaknesses’ in a different light… Daniel supported me with this because he’s a great listener, able to put himself into my shoes and asking just the rights questions to help me reflect.."

Subscribers to the newsletter may also be notified by email if this is necessary for the operation of the newsletter service or a registration is required in this regard, as could be the case in the event of changes to the newsletter offer or changes to the technical conditions. There is no disclosure of the personal data collected as part of the newsletter service to third parties. The subscription to our newsletter can be canceled by the data subject at any time. The consent to the storage of personal data that the data subject has given us for the newsletter can be revoked at any time. Each newsletter contains a corresponding link for this purpose. It is also possible to unsubscribe from the newsletter at any time directly on the controller's website or to inform the controller in another way.Retention period of personal data
